Mountain View is a North Anchorage neighborhood located between JBER (Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson) to the North and East 5th Avenue and the New Seward Highway to the South; and Post Road to the West and Boniface Parkway to the East. Mountain View has one main residential area North of Mountain View Drive. The rest are retail and industrial areas off of Commercial Drive and Viking Drive.
Residents of Mountain View have access to Davis Park, which wraps around the East and North sides of the neighborhood. There are other smaller parks inside Mountain View as well. Residents have quick access to Northway Mall and the newly built Glenn Square shopping center. Being close to the Boniface Gate to JBER, it makes a nice short commute for those who serve or work on the base.
