North Star is a smaller central Anchorage neighborhood located between Minnesota Drive to the West and the New Seward Highway to the East; and the Chester Creek Greenbelt to the North and Fireweed Lane to the South.
Since it is located just South of the Chester Creek Greenbelt, which is linked to the Greater Anchorage trail system, residents here have acccess to all sorts of parks, such as the Valley of the Moon Park and the Westchester Lagoon park area. Shopping can either be done in nearby Downtown 5th Avenue Mall or the Sears Mall on Northern Lights Boulevard. North Star has convenient retail and residential zones.
