Turnagain is a neighborhood in West Anchorage located between Cook Inlet to the North and West, Lake Hood and Fish Creek to the South, and Minnesota Drive to the East.
Turnagain has excellent access to the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and to several other smaller parks throughout the neighborhood.
It, like Spenard, is near Lake Hood and Ted Stevens International Airports. Flying enthusiasts enjoy seeing the small and large aircraft in this area. Residents also have access to Earthquake Park and Point Woronzof Parks. Point Woronzof is a part of the Cook Inlet coastline that is pebbly and walkable. Turnagain is mainly made up of quiet residential zones with very little retail and commercial business zones. Subdivisions here are popular and located close enough to popular shopping and entertainment venues but set aside from all the high traffic.
